South Africa’s remarkable ability to find ways of losing in knockout tournaments of the International Cricket Council continues to defy logic. In the past weekend’s Super Eight matches of the current T20 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka, against Pakistan and Australia, the Proteas lost early wickets and had to resurrect the innings from about 30 for three after six overs. This week they are stuck in 'Last Chance Saloon'.
